Lim Hock Chye, 88More than a grandfather, he was one of the Pioneers who fought for Singapore. Until his death, he was a picture of good health for his age of 88. He was very active and often ventured into the neighborhood in his motorized wheelchair. He loved his wife dearly who had a stroke 18 years ago. He stood by her and was a testimony of his loyalty to my grandmother and hanging on with her despite her illness.
Without them, I would not be inspired. Without the elderly in our community who have a lot to offer, we will not be where we are today. Thank you grandpa– Arisa Lim “People who don’t cherish their elderly have forgotten whence they came and whither they go” – Ramsay Clark |
