Lim Hock Chye, 88
More than a grandfather, he was one of the Pioneers who fought for Singapore. Until his death, he was a picture of good health for his age of 88. He was very active and often ventured into the neighborhood in his motorized wheelchair. He loved his wife dearly who had a stroke 18 years ago. He stood by her and was a testimony of his loyalty to my grandmother and hanging on with her despite her illness.
Without them, I would not be inspired. Without the elderly in our community who have a lot to offer, we will not be where we are today. Thank you grandpa– Arisa Lim
