Meet Phillip, 57, also known as one of the strongest men in the company he works in. His strength in carrying heavy objects can be compared to that of his younger counterparts.

Phillip has worked as a fisherman as well as a karang guni (rag and bone) man. Now, he creates PVC lockers from scratch. Work for him can be defined in one word – relationships. He is most happy at work when he is able to get along with his colleagues and to share his stories with them.

During his free time, Phillip heads to Punggol to catch crabs. The experience has been very rewarding for him: “I see most people leaving with only one or two crabs in their nets, but I usually go home with a bunch because I know where to put my net”.
